Captain’s Crew

Clam Island Rowing offers experienced rowers the option of rowing on Dyes Inlet during non-coached sessions. This means that you can take out a boat with another rower at a time that fits your schedule. This is a great option for those you want to row on the weekends or early in the morning.

Captain’s Crew FAQs

  • Always have four oars on the water. For safety we always want two or more rowers going out at a time.

  • Experienced Rowers must pass the Captain’s Test. Passing this test demonstrates your skill and ability to stay safe of the water and care for club boats.

  • Rowers must have a current USRowing Membership and a CIR Membership

  • Follow all club safety rules regarding weather and temperature.

  • Rowers must use ICrew to reserve boats.

  • Rowers can reserve singles and doubles.
